Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Hello, hello

First of all, the entire team of Line Loup wishes you a Happy Easter!

For this occasion, I thought it would be interesting to dive into 2 well known traditions of Easter.

First the bells, the eggs

we all love them, especially when they are made out of chocolate :)

An egg is the symbol of a new life. Giving eggs at Easter is a tradition that exists for hundreds of years. Traditionally, the belles stop ringing on Holy Thursday and they leave for Rome to gather the eggs that they will distribute to the children on the way back. Easter Sunday, the day of the resurrection of Jesus, gives the opportunity to the children to find the eggs hidden in the garden. It is a token of rejoicing.

But do you also know...

The tradition of wearing something new on Easter?

At its origine, one of the first reasons people wore new clothing at Easter was that they had enough of wearing the same clothing all winter long. The vivid colors were replaced by the dark colors of the winter. This is a practice that symbolises renewal and brings luck for the rest of the year.

Still haven't found something new to wear on Easter Sunday, we propose chic and elegant slippers on our site and now also available in the shop Jacques Loup in Cannes !

Enjoy the chocolate eggs :)
