Where to find inspiration?

Hi everyone!
Where did I find my inspiration for the collection?
To create my first collection of slippers, I let myself be inspired by what surrounds me, what I love. And then I transformed this and adapted it to our different models of slippers.
So, what surrounds me?
First of all, my city, Cannes
A small but international city filled up with luxury shops, beaches, the sea… My whole life, I had the chance and privilege to be surrounded by the jet set coming from all over the world. And the film festival has given me a passion for glamour and elegance.
Other cities like Paris and Milan are very important to me:
I just love it! I can go and discover the fashion trends 6 months ahead of everyone. I just float in this world of unique and eccentric fashionistas, business people and luxury.
After those trips, I’m completely boosted by what I have discovered and experienced, sometimes even upset. All those different feelings unleash this unbelievable stream of creativity.
As for many designers, traveling is essential.
My trips throughout the world (Japan, Sri Lanka, Brazil, US, different European countries) have opened up my mind and spirit. It is so important to see and look what is around you and learn from it. Different ambiances, colours, perfumes, are so inspiring for my collections!
All of this combined as given me what I needed...
To create a collection with 2 themes
The first one is more glamorous for women and dandy for men.
The theme is full of fine details (embroideries, feathers, colours, cosy materials like velvet) that turn the slipper into something exceptional.
The second theme for men and women, is more inspired by city shoes, masculine and chic.
You can find slippers with accessories like bits, pompoms, noble materials like calf leather, calf velvet in dark colours… or bright ones which might surprise you!
Now that this collection is finished – time to get the batteries recharged with creativity as more collections are to come, especially specific fashion collection beginning of next year.
I’ll keep you posted!
